Hostel Room Size Thanks for your input I once stayed in a female only dorm in Amsterdam my only time and I found it terribly sterile All the girls were super quiet and to themselves and most of them just stayed on their laptops It was a crappy hostel though PSA don t stay at Aviengo Hostel in Amsterdam Every hostel is different though
If the hostel I m interested doesn t have that option then I go for mixed dorms Usually there are more guys than girls in a mixed dorm since the men don t have a choice and they are not allowed to book a female dorm room obviously When it comes to size the maximum limit for me is 8 people in a room Great forum so i will get down to the point Our room are approx 3 8 L x2 8 W x2 8 H and i was planning to put in two bunk beds per room My social sphere of influence is suggesting that its too cramped and god forbid just put two beds Here i was excited of putting a three story bunk bed

I am in a planning stage to Open a Hostel with 150 Beds in UK We have rooms starting from 4 Beds to 20 beds per room Most of the rooms we have can Take 16 people and can be mead with en suite facilities i e 2 showers 2 Toilets and 2 basins for 16 people My questions is since its a 16 b Howdy I m investigating the possibility of opening a hostel in an urban US city that could definitely use another hostel but rent prices in the part of the city where I want to operate are making me cringe I want to have a small to medium sized hostel with about 30 to 50 beds

A lot of the time it depends on the room itself Klaus numbers are good though I assume about 1 bathroom per 7 8 people rather than 4 but you can fit more beds into a room if you need A nice bright windowed room with high ceilings somehow manages to fit more beds than other rooms of equivalent size You can imagine the time wasted opening and closing cupboard doors in search of the desired items and not to mention the space saving aspect of not having to make room for each door to open Finally you need to divide your hostel kitchen in such a way that there is a food prep area dining area and a coffee and tea corner
